Fractions and Time

Over the next few weeks in Maths, we are studying Fractions and Time.

This is what we will be learning:

-Identify and name simple fractions ie half, quarter, third, fifth, tenth
-Write simple fractions in words and symbols (ie half/ ½)
-Recognise that some fractions are the same (ie ½ and 2/4)
-Order fractions smallest to largest and largest to smallest with the same denominator (bottom number) ie
1, 2, 3, 4
4  4 4  4
-Solve fraction of a set problems by using skip counting/times table & division knowledge
ie There are 2 people and 10 biscuits. How many biscuits do they get each? (2,4,6,8,10 =5 or 2x5=10 or 10÷2=5)
